Hi
I have a JCL job that used to send files to widows server .
Now the destination server is changed to unix server.
In our test region when we try to send files, in UNIX files are appearing with having just a single record.
Just came to know that we need to provide a line feed for each record in input dataset.
As the i/p dataset is of variable structure how can increase the lrecl with an extra line feed byte? We do not know the i/p file is VB or Fb and also dont know the LRECL.
Please help. |

Can you show the JCL that you are using and the control cards for it. Usually the method of transfer takes care of the adding/stripping (depending on direction) of things like cr/lf. You might want to start checking your documentation/looking at any examples which already work, look at the "migration notes" which were circulated by your technical people when the Windows was replaced with Unix.... |

Hello,
As suggested you should post the jcl and ftp control statements used as well as the informatoinal output generated by the run.
When you say "opne record" do you mean that only the first logical record is transmitted or that the entire file is sent as one single record?
It is possible that your site options have a NOCRLF default. You can tell ftp to add a cr/lf. |
