kishore,
In our shop,we update database thru online. In such case we capture timestamp, screen id,user id in the db2 table while there is screen updation.Hence we can find which is the latest record, who updates, which program does that.
Similarly you can check in the layout whether you have such fields in the file.
hope this suggestion helps. |

It would not possible to find out who has updated a record/records unless it has been captured and stored when the update is being made. |

In our shop we used to enter "AFCT" command in the CICS region which used to display the user who had accessed the dataset for the last time.

. I dont think it is CICS supplied. It used to extract all the details of the Record from the FCT and provide the info. I guess if you are not able to use AFCT then you have to verify the log files. But if someone had edited the file (Not thru online) then it will not be present in your log files.

For using AFCT just go to the CICS region and Type AFCT and press Enter key. |

I think you should check the pgm which does the online updates. Most probably after maintenance the pgm will be using some log files to log the details when a particular field has been changed. and I guess this file might be used in the batch to generate reports. |
