I have to rename thousands of datasets, need one utility which can rename based on the High level Qualifiers.
Ex:-
| Code: |
ABC.CDE.NMP
ABC.CDE.EFG.X123
ABC.CDE.RES.QUE.X124
should be renamed as
ABC.NEW.CDE.NMP
ABC.NEW.CDE.EFG.X123
ABC.NEW.CDE.RES.QUE.X124

I have IDCAMS - ALTER but it can do to one level alone.
ABC.CDE.* means it can refer only 3 Qualifiers not all. Can't use '**' as IDCAMS is giving ERROR.Please correct me if i am wrong.
