Hi,
I am unable to login into Omegamon II for DB2 in any lpars on my mainframes. Please let me know if there is a command similar to Omegamon II for CICS which is working fine on my mainframes. The command is OMXEQA/OMXEQB/OMXEQC etc..
Regards,
Hema |

You need to talk to your site support group to find out if your site even has Omegamon installed -- if not, then why on earth would you be attempting to log into a product that doesn't exist? If so, then your site support group can tell you the approved method to get a valid sign on for the product.
Omegamon is a software vendor product that is NOT installed at all sites. |

well Hema (QAOS),
since your comrades in arms there in Chennai are currently responsible for the situation the mainframes are in,
you will have to plow thru the labyrinth of burocratic BS (tickets, etc...)
normally necessary to take a bathroom break
to first obtain permission to access Omegamon thru TSO,
then have them apply the permission
(hoping of course they do it sometime in the near future)
(and do it correctly)
then you will need profiles allocated
(which of course entails another trip to the racf group - with all the attendent paperwork, oks and Tickets)
then you will have to try it,
and find that you need another zillion bits of this and that (all with proper approval, of course)
and then probably find out that the sub-system has not be installed for any of lpar to which you have access. |

No, the poster was silly enough to use an LPAR name, of which I am familiar,
and I know Chenni is home to the sysprogs that are succeding in driving the response time of a rather huge system from seconds to minutes.
I have developed a lot of VB stuff to perform research on with the sources, copybooks, etc... downloaded to my pc.
I have lost patience waiting 8-10 seconds for a page-up. |

Snatching defeat from the jaws of vistory. . .
There is not a system so powerful that it cannot be shoved down the toilet by gross incompetence. . .

Hi Hema,
Welcome to IBMMAINFRAMEs!
QAOS, hmm...Sounds development...
As dino said, its a very big tedious messy process and you need to have a lots of patience (or) you can get down to 2nd floor and ask the CICS support group yourself, how to get it done ?
Good luck
Regards,
Sushanth |
