Hi,
In the dataset list (Start 3.4) I entered the below dataset name
SYS1.UNI.PANELS
The Panle is showing me the above dataset. But While trying to browse/select/Information, I am getting an error message that 'Data set not found'.
Please help me to know why I am getting the error message though the dataset list panel displays the dataset
Thanks,

is not according to the standard IBM naming convention

not a question to be asked here, nor to IBM
ask those who did the customization and dataset allocation at Your site
it is not a system dataset, it is a user dataset, related to the system setup, but always a user dataset |

It might happen when the dataset was catalogued on a volume, but was not physically there. Can you PF10/PF11 and see the LRECL, DSORG and so on? If that information is blank, then the DSN is not on the volume. |

I too think that its an orphan entry which does not exist at all physically.
Does the system go into a very long wait state when B or E is issuesd? |
