Hi,
We get SB37 error is Caused by lack of sufficient secondary space. This discribes that is the end of volume. The secondary space is increased upto 15 times I suppose. For this you have to change the volume and try.
Regards,
Mike. |

Check the IEC030I message in your JESYSMSG. This message will contain the DDNAME for which the SB37 occured.
Hope this helps. |

SYMPTOM: ABEND SD37, SB37 or SE37 ABEND on a Sequential Output File.
CAUSE: The amount of data associated with the ABENDing sequential
output file exceeded the capacity of the SPACE sub-parameter of the
associated DD statement, or the available space on the Volume on which
the sequential output file resides has been exhausted.
SOLUTION: Rename the Problem file to another dataset name ("DSN"). |

What about for proary space too ?
Also it is worth noting that the secondary space allocation, and the primary allocation can be satisfied in up to five extents.
For example CYL,(100,100)
Becauseof volume fragmentation, the primary allocation can use 5 extents, so does secondary 1, then secondary 2, so at this time you have 300 cylinders allocated, but have already used 15 of your 16 extents. |
