ID name invoice_num date
has its primary key formed with ID and invoice_num. Now pls tell me how to define the VSAM. |

Hi,
i could not under stand what you want
If you have three fields like
ID-NAME-INVOICE
You cant have ID and INVOICE as keys
for the VSAM data sets you got to have your key fields contineous i,.e
ID-INVOICE-NAME
Then you can define Length of (ID+INVOICE) as key
Correct me if am wrong

why don't u reformat the file using a sort or fileaid option to swap the positions of name and invoice_num so that u will get the ID and INVOICE fields continous to make the key. |
