Hi All,
I have a requirement where in once message is put onto a queue, another application has to be triggered. The queue is configured such that once a put message is committed another application will be triggered. So in order to commit the message I had issued CICS Syncpoint. But now syncpoint is affecting other part of my logic. hence I would like to know is there a way to commit MQPUT in online environment? |

how big is this program/how much more logic has to be executed before the task is ended?
(the program that is writing to the queue)
if this is one of those idiot online programs that processes thousands of transactions before it is finihed
and you really have to have this other program triggered by the queue right now
i would send the message data via a start transaction that would PUT the queue and then die,
thus causing the commit. |
