Hi,

We have most of the reorg jobs coded with KEEPDICTIONARY option. But now due to change in data we see that compression percentage is not that good.

Is there any catalog table where I can check - When the last compression dictionary was build for that table?

I don't think there is a table with this information.

Thanks,
Sushanth

lot of stuff on the web (google KEEPDICTIONARY DB2)
about this subject.

it appears that you need to know abit more about your db2 version, etc...
before you start making decisions based on some entry that may or maynot be in the catelog tables.

Unless you work for the DB2 development team at IBM, I suspect what you think should be done probably won't matter very much to IBM.

Gylbharat,

Other ways of knowing the answer,
You can ask your seniors, why KEEPDICTIONARY was put and when it was changed. That's easy way of doing it.

If you have endevor, check it in there, when the JCL/PARM was changed.

Or just go to that library and see when the JCL/PARM was changed, this point is not an effective answer, but can be added as a last option.

Thanks,
Sushanth
