Other than SMF records, list the users who have CEMT and/or CECI access and then proceed with process of elimination.

Is this Production, QA or Test?

Keep in mind, under certain conditions, CICS will disable a transaction.

Thans Bill

i already checked CICS job that provided me the information about the users who logged on, about any CICS abends and CICS start time etc
But i dont see any messages related to CICS transaction disable/Newcopy activity.

I am talking about DEV, and every user has access to CEMT.

I want to know which user has disabled the transaction and time of it?

Can you please help me in detail?

Although it is irritating to attempt to test,
and you assume everything is ok,
but it isn't.

I realize you have a problem with rookies.
I would imaging that there are few that deal with any one program.

instead of spending time and resources trying to determine who the dummy is,
do a simple cemt inq yourself before attempting any testing.

and it is a lot easier to just screw down the lid on everybody,
racf the hell out of everything and only allow a few people to
'disable' a tran - why would someone disable a tran for testing????
force them to go thru senior people and slowly weed out the crud.

to get the proper reporting from cics, you need to go thru you systems people,
and when they ask why,
you have to admit that your group is a bunch of children.

in the development system it is normal for people to issue systems commands

everywhere most often they do not realize the extent/effect of the commands they issue

since it is a DEV system it is normal to face unpleasant situation
what is less normal is to bitch about them, or involve management

train better Your fellow developers

would You bitch the same way if a program kept abending
( the situation is pretty similar )
something is not available because of a random command
something is not available because of a random programming error icon_cool.gif

KIRAN,
