Hi,
My application uses a Menu based approach. If for a particular option, a user does not have access, can i know it from the Menu program so that i can throw an error message to the screen.
Thanks for your inputs |

Yep. If it is coded that way.
Is it coded that way? I have no idea, you have the source and the possibility to ask someone there, try it out, look at the source, etc. |

I am yet to write the program. I just want to know if there are any ways to know if a logged in user has access to a transaction the Menu option is pointing to. Is there a way to know this ? |

speak to Your security support group, in order to define properly the requirement and the relative solution!
asking on a forum about security issues will result mostly in a waste of time for everybody
security discussions imply, most of the time, sharing of company confidential info,
and You would not want to do that
replies will be most of the times based on experiences related to different standard and practices
and not applicable to Your environment
