Hi,
We know that DB2 package resides in DB2 directory and it is not accessible by SQL query.
Is there any way to browse the DB2 directory ? so that I can see the packages even if they are not in readable format.
If it is installation specific any sample location may help me to find my location because most of the location format file naming convention is same in DB2 throughout the sites.
Thanks

A list of packages can be found in table: SYSIBM.SYSPACKAGE
A list of the Package Statements can be found in table: SYSIBM.SYSPACKSTMT
I hope this helps... |

Sorry daveporcelan.
SYSIBM.SYSPACKAGE & SYSIBM.SYSPLAN are the DB2 catalog. These DB2 catalog contains information about DB2 packages and plans but actual package and plans are stored in DB2 directory.
Thanks

As the saying goes, 'you learn something everyday'. This was my 'something' for today.
In my many years, of working with DB2 and Packages, I never knew that.
For that matter, I never needed to.
Which leads to my question, what information is in this directory that you need to see?
How is this information helpful? |

PeterHolland,
Following DB2 Directory tablespace are used to store package & plans
SCT02
Quote: |
Contains the internal form of SQL statements that are contained in an application. If you bound a plan with SQL statements in a prior release, DB2 created a structure in SCT02. |
SPT01
Quote: |
Skeleton package
Contains the internal form of SQL statements that are contained in a package |
Now My question is there anyway to bows the content of these directory tablespace ?
