all these panels effectively collect info to create control cards for batch jobs.

suggest you find out what the jobs are, how to build the control cards and then submit your own job.

by the way,
the time it will take you to generate the rexx script to interface and create this job,
could be better used to just manually go thru the screens provided by change man and select the 100 or so modules.

or buy a better repository, that allows you to easily generate control cards and 'automate' the processes.

If you need access to do something, ask your manager for the access to be arranged.

Why do you make such a choice? What benefit would you get by this? Usually, Change-man, like any other ad-on tools, is accessible from one of the options of ISPF Primary Menu list.

Well, Change-Man edits its compile, link/edit job, which it generated under the cover and have exclusive control on it -- as an application developer it won't give access of that job to you... it's legacy of change-man;). So forget about it unless you are Change-Man admin.

I'm not employed t this moment, so can't really check but there is "mass-checkout" option available in Change-man, explore it.

I've been "key-lexic" a long time. What really bites is to copy/paste the wrong "thing". . . icon_cool.gif

Fortunately, i've only done this a few times. . .

Check the Changeman documentation. Does it have a section on Rexx? Does it mention Rexx AT ALL? If not then it cannot be done by Rexx - but it may have a mass checkout facility as has been mentioned.

Don't think I ever did a mass checkout. You could try the help key but if I remember correctly the ChangeMan help was not clear.

Hey Rahul,

If its just you wanted to check out components from Baseline then its possible through changeman itself (no need of rexx). you just have to go to checkout window and use wildcard(*) there after atleast 2 characters of component name and then select the components you want ... thats it

pardon me if am offtrack ... but i am replying to what i understood after going through the thread.
