I believe that the mainframe performance management team and /or capacity planning team would have the right monitoring tools and trends of the data that you are looking for.
Or you would want to process the RMF, RMF provides performance and usage instrumentation of resources. |

instead of increasing your mainframe usage
in an attempt to identify your high mainframe usage,
why don't you just ask the sender of the email to expand his/her/its comment
and let you know where your potential improvements lay?
at the same time,
once you learn what it is that you are doing,
to cause such undesirable statistics,
you may even be able to justify the usage. |

If "they" can send this email simply mentioning "usage is high", they also have more detailed info. Suggest you ask whoever sent the email to provide some statistics for your id and for the different processes you are responsible for. |
