We are in the process of spliting a RACF superiour group into 2. The existing group will stay with some of the subgroups being moved to another new group.
There are a lot of resources assigned to the old group that need to be duplicated to the new one. Is there an easy way to do this?
Is there a way to perform mass RACF updates by running a series of commands in batch? |

Certyainly yes, all RACF commands can be issued using a batch execution of the TMP. |

I downloaded the RACF Command Language Reference. I discovered that most commands can be run under TSO |

As for cloning the permissions of the existing group, you'll find the utility IRRDBU00, RACF Database Unload, to be quite helpful. It creates a text file of the RACF database, including details on all the permits.

I would actually state that it is a PS file rather than a text file.
If you offer consultancy services, I'm afraid you've just blown any chances that you may have had with me. |
