Member names of PDS which don't hav 2strings using SyncSort

Hi All,

I have a requirement to list those member names od specified PDS which doesn't have 2 strings in same line.

For example:

2 strings can be like "SPACE" and "RLSE"

Output should have those members which have a line like "SPACE XXXXXXXXX" (if atleast one line is present)
but it should not have those members which have a line like "SPACE XXXX RLSE"
Output should display only those members which have at least one "XXXX SPACE XXXX XXXX" (SPACE is present without a RLSE in the same line)

Any help would be really appreciated

If you have PDSMAN the PDSM18 program can do this.

Fileaid is probably another good candidate

Thanks for your reply Pete. Option 7 of PDSM suits for this better.

Is there a way to this in batch job?

let me re-phrase my requirement.

If there is a STRING1, then there should be STRING2 in the same line.

if there is STRING1 and there is no STRING2 in the same line then the member name should output. (if atleast one line is present also)
