Hi,
We are creating an IMS DLI step, which is going to run one time in production.
This is a DLI read job with out checkpoint restart logic. The job is also accessing HALDB's. Would there be any issue if we dont have any backout step if the job abends?
The current plan is to rerun the job during the abnormal termination. Could some one help me with this?

It depends and some dependencies can be:
How many records the Job is dealing with
Does your suport charge you on every restart
and many more..
Also, I believe you meant "check-point/restart" - what do you mean by "backout step"? ROLLBACK, by any chance? You are talking about IMS not DB2, right? |

Take an image copy before the run. If the job fails, use the image copy. |
