Hello,
I have a system of mostly CLIST, REXX & DB2 that create TSO/ISPF panels.
Can such a system be moved or migrated to IBM VisualAge Generator platform somehow ? If its possible, then it would be great if I get some pointers and major criteria to start off.
This is not my endpoint though and the actual aim is to migrate the CLIST/REXX system to Enterprise Generation Language. Since a direct migration seems impossible, I was thinking of a via media through VAG.
Warm regards,

Can you elaborate on what you mean by this:

It means that the REXX/CLIST modules when executed from the TSO command line, bring up the application panels of this online system. Let me know if I wasnt clear enough.

I don't believe that there is a VisualAge IDE for Rexx. You'd have to rewrite the driver code in another language; IMNSHO this will be a non-trivial effort. |

'Bring up' is clearer than 'create'. But I would understand it better if you said 'Display'.
'Create' implies some intelligence in writing the lines that comprise the panel definition. Creating and displaying are vastly different. |

I get your point. The REXX/CLIST codes display the application panels. So would it finally be possible to transform these codes to VAG ? Considering the earlier response, it doesnt seem so.
