Hi,

Requirement:
Need to add an occurrence automatically in OPC for an AD which should be Dependant on a dataset

Details:
In my project a job which should run continuously throughout day. In between if it get stops need to send an alert through email.

The job which continuously run which will create a dataset once it get stopped. Need to create a AD which should be dependent on the mentioned dataset.

Note:
The job which run continuously has a restriction on it. I cannot directly add my email step in it.

Could you please help me to implement it.

Read the following manual :

TWS Planning and Scheduling the Workload

Chapter 20 explains Event-triggered Tracking

And do what Nic Clouston suggested.

TWS (or OPC as it was) may well be protected from anyone performing updates except for those authorised so to do.

Let's face it, would you want someone from the OPC team changing your programs on the fly without them knowing what they are doing. That's probably how they feel about a bunch of developers trying out OPC changes on the production system.
