I have a Db2 table used in a cobol program. There is a query in that program which reads this DB2 table. This query has two of that table's columns in the WHERE clause. I am creating an index on these two columns.
To reflect this new index created or take advantage of the new index by that query, should i re-bind the cobol program again after index change? |

to answer your question,
one would have to explain BIND and the options.
But because I know and you don't,
i relish this opportunity to say: "it depends". |

for instance, depending on your bind parms, you may not have to.
but then we would have to know what your bind parms are,
or you would have to understand them. |
