Hi,
Please let me know is there any way to find the availability of a TAPE file using REXX.

LISTCAT would be the obvious choice, but then that depends on your definition of exists or not. LISTCAT will let you know if the tape is catalog'd or not.

Although a tape maybe uncatalog'd and exist in the TMS there are implications which depend on whether the volumes is physical or virtual.

If it is a virtual volume you will need to check with your site support as to when the header information is scrapped, it could be immediately on uncatalog or may be delayed until the TMS housekeeping runs, but this is entirely site specific. I have had no end of grief when the header info was deleted at uncatalog icon_cry.gif
