When I trying to insert the record in alias which gives error -904. any can suggest me foer connecting locator for this...... |

any -904 can be solved by using the DSNTIAR call to expand the SQLCA contents.
the expansion will tell you the resource,
the reason code will provide you with 'the reason'.
From there you will have enough information to ask your site dba,
who is the only one that can tell you why
because none of use know anything about your system. |

Any Detector (BMC, CA, etc.) also can provide useful info - locate the statement, show SQLCA and so on... |

Thanks friend, I have used the DSNTIAR call to expand the SQLCA contents. it gives locator connection error, so I have asked about conecting locator. I got the answer............ once again thanks for all.. |
