Hi everyone,
Greeting!
I have created a layout with SDF-2 & generated a Map,
below are two constant fields generated by SDF-2
DFHMDF POS=(1,32),LENGTH=7,INITIAL='BRITISH', COLOR=BLUE
DFHMDF POS=(1,40),LENGTH=7,INITIAL='TELECOM'
,COLOR=BLUE
as you can see, SDF is generating two constant fields where-as I was expecting to get something like this-
DFHMDF POS=(1,40),LENGTH=15,INITIAL='BRITISH TELECOM'
,COLOR=BLUE
Please suggest if there is any option available with SDF to make it like this, I tried to change the Marks but SDF did not allow to change this
Appreciate your help & suggestions!
P.S.- I tried to look into SDF help for this option but did not find much help! |

How is SDF to know this is one field not two?
Try putting BRITISH-TELECOM on the screen and generate the map.
You can remove the dash from the generated map. |

Thanks Dave!
It worked, my only worry now is that if later someone will try to import this map into SDF for modifications, SDF will not accept it with message "object destroyed"

Hello,
You need to document this where someone performing maintenance will easily see it - preferable before "discovering" the the error . . . |
