Hi, My requirement is Rexx process the COBOL copybook the output field name and number list as following, works like File-aid view function.
E.g.
FIELD-1 1
FIELD-2 2
by the way, occurance expendable and group field is also assigned a number
one more thing, output is a seq file |

Yup, this is a prime example of how "not to" get help. . .
No sample input is shown. The output wanted from the sample input is not shown. I do not understand what this (by the way, occurance expendable) means, but maybe proper sample data would clarify.
And possibly worse - the post assumes people are rather familiar with both COBOL and FileAid (which is untrue for many of the better clist/rexx contributors).
Suggest some "real" cobol code be posted as well as needed output. |
