Hi,
I have a job that is defined in CA-7 with SCHID=001,
STARTM=2358, SUBTM = 2358 LEADTM=0010, DOTM=0010
WEEKLY DAY=MON,TUE,WED,THU,FRI,SAT
As per my understanding, SUBTM is the submit time for this job. LEADTM would be expected time for this job to complete.
Not very sure of the DOTM.
My doubt is that: I have noticed that even though the job is defined to run from Mon to Sat; it does run from Mon to Fri but doesn't run on Saturday. Instead it runs on Sunday.
I am confused why it doesn't run on Saturday but on Sunday. Can someone please let me know the reason why would this happen ?
-Thanks,
Rakesh |

Hello,
First - you need to make sure you have the CA-7 documentation available for reference (or at least the link to it). This is free from CA Support if your organization is licensed to use the product. You need to register with CA Support, but this is free also. It makes no sense to "fiddle" with or try to study things and not have the documentation visable. . .
Second - You did notice that the time is 23:58 which is 2 minutes until "tomorrow". This will basically run Sun thru Fri. . . |

DOTM
Specifies the due-out time-of-day for the job in hours (hh) and minutes (mm). If
omitted, the current time (when the DEMAND was processed) plus the lead time is
assumed.
If DOTM is specified on the DEMAND/DEMANDH command and the value given
is earlier than the current time, the due-out day is assumed to be the following day.
If DOTM and LEADTM are both omitted, then deadline start time is assumed to be
the current time plus the LEADTM.
Size/Type: hh= 1 to 2 numeric characters from 0 to 24
mm= 2 numeric characters from 00 to 59
Default: current time
Required: No (unless DATE is used, if so, DOTM or TIME must be specified) |
