Can anybody suggest whether we can run a JCL by coding JOB card parameter in EXEC statement ?

At the top of the page is a link to "IBM Manuals". You need to spend time in the Language Reference for your environment.
As posted, the question makes no sense. . . The JOB and EXEC statements are completely different . . . |

Hi D,
I know the difference.... actually my doubt is
// JOBNAME
// STEPNAME EXEC .........
By simply putting jobname in the JOB card, if I execute does it works. And I won't give any ACCT info or Notify statement

Hello,
You need to talk with your site support people about what are the rules for the content of a JOB statement on your system. Unless someone here works on that system, we have no idea about the rules for that system.
As i mentioned before - read the manual and you can see what the options are (but this will not tell you the local rules). |
