Hi folks,

Please let me know how to evaluation ATTRIBUTE FIELD to check it is protected or unptotected . I know Attribute field is of CHAR(1) or X(1) which hold of 8 bits and 3rd bit reveals prot/unprot/ or others . Please let me know how to check that?

have you bothered to look at the CICS Appl Programmers Guide or the CICS Appl Programers Reference.

yes, I know you were attempting to avoid that!
