Hi All,

I am reloading an ONS file into a VSO file by using ADRDSSU utility. I am getting an return code of 4 in the reload step.

I am getting the error massage as Record count does not match. Input record count is 0 and output record count is 21150019.

Can you please suggest me a solution.

Thanks,
Sandipan

What's an ONS file and a VSO file

Show the SYSPRINT output with all error message codes

Mmmmmmmmmmmm, how very strange. two users with exactly the same problem, even the exact same record counts in both threads.

Both topics will be locked until we can discover if this is one person with two uids or merely someones homework.

Please PM me with the details.

OK, so we have two people from the same organisation working on the same problem.

You will need to read the error messages given by the job in SYSPRINT as your starting point.

please refrain from using local jargon when asking for help outside Your organization..
it is considered BAD MANNERS
we spend time trying to understand Your issue and providing what we hope are useful replies
it is expected that You should spend a bit of time in translating Your jargon
to the terminology commonly used and understandable in the IT world

ONS and VSO might make sense in the world You belong to, here they do not.

we( and the utilities ) do not care about the content or the names...
we ( and the utilities ) care about the characteristics of the objects You are trying to process
sequential, partitioned, ksks, esds,..., aix, path, ...

to get help please translate ...

From the Messages and Code manual:
Quote:
3.2.443 ADR789W

ADR789W (ttt)-mmmmm(yy), RESTORE PROCESSING COMPLETED FOR CLUSTER
cluster_name, RECORD COUNT DOES NOT MATCH. INPUT RECORD COUNT IS
record_count OUTPUT RECORD COUNT IS record_count

Explanation: Restore processing of the data set has completed, but the record count from the input data set does not match the record count from the output data set.

System Action: DFSMSdss processing continues. The return code is 4.

Operator Response: None.

Application Programmer Response: Save the dump data set from which the data set was restored and contact IBM for programming support.

Source: DFSMSdss

Routing Code: MISSING INFO.

Descriptor Code: MISSING INFO.
So have you contacted IBM for programming support yet?

More importantly, since the manual explicitly tells you what to do -- and you should have read the manual BEFORE posting on this forum -- why on earth do you think we can provide any assistance? If you did NOT read the manual before posting, you need to go to the Beginner's and Students forum since this one is for professionals and professionals use the manuals.
