Hi,
Requirement : Im comparing 2 files which are in sorted order by using SUPER CE (3.13) option. But there are some observations.
Please find them in below.
I didn't got this observation in the earlier phases.
114181 NUMBER OF LINE MATCHES 2358033 TOTAL CHANGES (PAIRED+NONPAIRED
0 REFORMATTED LINES 1 PAIRED CHANGES (REFM+PAIRED INS
2358033 NEW FILE LINE INSERTIONS 2358032 NON-PAIRED INSERTS
1 OLD FILE LINE DELETIONS 0 NON-PAIRED DELETES
2472214 NEW FILE LINES PROCESSED
114182 OLD FILE LINES PROCESSED
Can you please let me know what the below statments are and why im getting .
1 PAIRED CHANGES (REFM+PAIRED INS)
1 OLD FILE LINE DELETIONS
I had done few checks by comparing the same thing manually, using join keys in JCL, using file id option, and by a cobol program. Im getting the correct statitics. like 114182 records are matching with the first input file.
But when i go for SUPER CE options im getting the above details with 1 paired changes and 1 old file line deletions. I mean 114181 reocrds are matching and the statistics says 1 PAIRED CHANGES (REFM+PAIRED INS)
1 OLD FILE LINE DELETIONS .
Due to this Im stuck and cannot proceed with the furthur processing which is impacting the other dependencies.
Can you please help me out as its a high priority.
Thanks

Hello,
If you have a SORT or COBOL solution that works, why use spuerc? |

The reason for opting SUPER CE is to get the LISTING of the records and STATISTIC details which are required by the users/finance people (requirement) for their checks and sign off. |

When i did the compare 1st time every thing i fine. When im doing the same compare 2nd time i getting this 1 rec 1 OLD FILE LINE DELETIONS & 1 PAIRED CHANGES (REFM+PAIRED INS.
Both the testing are done on 2 different environments.
Does this is impacting on the results.
I mean does environment setup will impact the results though we are using the same SUPER CE option with the same filer criteria? |

Hello,
If you compare the exact same 2 files on two different systems or on the same system the results should be the same.
What does "different environments" mean? |

Testing is done in Mainframes....Different environment means 2 different testing regions in Mainframes. |
