This is most likely an issue with your mail client. You should work with whoever supports email at your site to find out what's going on. |

i also have another problem. The content of the mail is a dataset of length 260. but in the mail, only first 120 characters are coming in first line and remainig part on next line. there is no scroll bar at the bottom to scroll right and see the whole 260 bytes. is there any parameter which i can use so that all 260 bytes comes in 1 line. |

Without seeing the JCL, it is not possible to say -- although I suspect the problem is you are not putting your input into a file. Using spool input imposes a limit on the maximum record length. 260 is much less than the allowed 998 characters as stated in RFC 2821 and RFC 2822, so there's nothing in the standard to cause problems (and I have sent emails with 998 bytes per line in the past). |

the attchment shows the JCL. the file in FASTGENR is the OUTPUT of sort step. the sort step input files are email control card followed by the actual data which is to be displayed in the mail. the input files are concatenated. |

Since your JCL is not the problem, the issue is -- again -- your mail client. You really, really, really, really need to talk to whoever support email at your site and discuss these issues with that person or group. Since we do not know your site, how your email is set up, or even which email client your site is using, there is no way we can answer questions of the type you're asking. |

do not post screenshots, is a useless waste of system resources (*)
a plain text cut and paste is more than enough!
use the bbcode tags to make the data readable
(*)about 100k of garbage instead of 4k |

Hi,
Could you try changing the 5th and 6th line on ur first attachment to something like this,
Code: |
FROM: vv.kk@ww.com
TO: wells@ww.com |
I am not expert on this field, but I have been using a similar JCL for quite sometime and it worked well, so thought of suggesting.
Hope it helps. |
