Hi,

It is written in the documents of JCL that the Accounting Information can be given with alphanumeric characters, but in fact it is related to time so, how can time be in the form of some alphabets ?

What a source code can convey about time if it is in alphanumeric form ?

Ok , i can understand that after compilation its converted to machine code or object code which the machine can understand but how do we(those who write source code) will understand if the time is in alphanumeric form?

Regards,
Anu.

Well, these are the details:

publibz.boulder.ibm.com/cgi-bin/bookmgr_OS390/BOOKS/IEA2B660/20.2?DT=20050713232151

although I have no idea how this relates to your original question.
