HI I am using SARBCH to extract SAR listing of jobs using the below sysin
/DBASE NAME=<ca7 log name>
/LIST ID=jobname*
but as the length of the output is only 133 bytes I am not able to get the USER ID info for a set of jobs. can any one give me a clue, is it possible using SARBCH or i need any other utility? |

Hi,
After you get the SAR extract from SARBCH,
The SAR extract has the USER id who submitted the job, 2nd next to the word 'IRR010I '
You could use a job to get the 2nd word next to 'IRR010I ' word from the SAR extract.
Or am I missing something on ur requirement?

Hello,
What does the same first part of the sysout show from a SARBCH run on your system? |

sorry to disagree on the IRR010I advice
( not me personally, zOS disagrees )
quoting the messages and manual
Quote: |
IRR010I USERID userid IS ASSIGNED TO THIS JOB.
Explanation: The user did not specify the USER parameter on the job card.
System Action: The submitting user's user ID is assigned to this job. (This is normal for user ID propagation.) Processing continues. This message goes only to the job log.
User Response: None. |
in general it is impossible to find who submitted the job
the only thing MVS ( and security packages ) care is the ID on the job card
if the job card has the USER parameter specified You will not get the message |
