Query regarding Alternate index

Hi All,

I have created one VSAM cluster and build index like below,

Clusters record length is 172 and primary key positions 1-6 and alternate key position is 32-50.I can have 3 records with same alternate key

So i defined like below,

Cluster record size--> 172
Key position --> 0
Key length ---> 6

what i have to give for alternate index key definitions?

You have to specify exactly what the manual tells you to specify.
I suggest reading the IDCAMS manual and if you really can not manage after doing so, then come back and post.
