Hi all,

I have PLI-DB2 program in which the following data needs to be extracted.

Table 1:
fields: id and data
sample values:
id data
1 a,b,c
2 a,c
3 a

Table 2:
fields: account and data
sample values:
account data
a1 a
a2 a,b
a3 a,b,c

I need to read accounts one by one and match the data with table 1 to find the id(s) for the account.

In my example case,
for a1, 3 should be returned
for a2, none
for a3, 1,2 & 3 should be returned. 2 & 3 because, the account has the required data.

I tried the following query.. but it couldn't get me the ids 2 & 3 for account a3.

Code:
SELECT id FROM TABLE1 AS A TABLE2 AS B
WHERE '%A.DATA%' LIKE 'B.DATA' WHERE B.ACCOUNT = 'A3'

Kindly advice.

Thanks.

my advice:
1) Learn SQL : your where-clause doesn't come close
2) fire the modeller : One column containing comma-separated values on which you want to search and/or compare is enough reason.
