I want to rename 1000 datasets including PDS's & Files. Can anyone provide me a simple method for doing so...

Do you have any pattern in your renaming operation? If yes, REXX could be the appropriate solution. IEHPROGM is another solution, but it is more rigid.
By the way, there is no such thing as "PDS's & files". They are all datasets. Some are partitioned datasets and some are sequential datasets.

Yes, the High level qualifier is same for all the Partitioned and Sequential Dataset's ... .

Have we (you) actually read the documentation of the the two solutions offered so far. It is a week since you posted and were offered two possible solutions.
If NO - then go read it and stop asking for your work to be done for you
if YES - what problems have you encountered. Also show the code that you have used along with the error messages and codes. |
