Hi,

Could you please let me know what happens in background when you run a natural program in Program Editor area ?

The RUN command invokes the compiler. If no errors are detected, an object module is created and loaded into the Buffer Pool where it is executed. After execution, the object module is thrown away.

The process is similar to a compile-and-go step in COBOL, PL/1, etc.
