I am running a CICS program, i need to know what is the terminal id on which it is running (through program only), is there any way in CICS by which i can retreive this terminal id..
and what is EXEC CICS RETREIVE.. command
what is RTERMID used in this command..

Hi enrico,
Actually i want to retrive terminal id from program, i dont know what is the connection name of this screen.
i just have transaction id and transaction running on that screen now i just want to know if its possible for a transaction to know on which terminal id it is running..

Hello,
Why does someone believe the program should use terminal-id?
Keep in mind that in many (most?) places terminal-ids are assigned dynamically. Static ip-addresses are less and less common. . .
If terminal id is being used to control access/functionality, this should be re-designed. . . |
