Hello..
Could anyone please shed some light on what is product level means in CICS and its use? I have CICS TS version 3.2. When I captured the dump it says the CICS product level is V6 R5 M0.
I would like to know what is the significance of product level and its use. Is this product level is related to CICS TS version? Is each CICS TS version has its own product level?
It might be a very basic question but i can only blame ignorance on my part.
Thanks in advance,

CICS manual says...
Cicstslevel (value) displays a 6-character value identifying the version, release and modification level of the CICS Transaction Server for z/OS product under which the CICS region is running. The value is of the form vvrrmm, and CICSĀ® Transaction Server Version 3 Release 2 returns 030200.
Release (value) (supported for compatibility only) displays a 4-digit number (value 0650 for this release of CICS TS) representing the level of the CICS code running this region.
This field is maintained for compatibility with previous releases of CICS only. As an exclusive element of CICS Transaction Server for z/OS, CICS does not have a product version and release number of its own. To determine the release number of the product, see the value displayed for CICSTSLEVEL.
