The owner is who submitted the job, Notify parameter is used to notify after completion of job.

Hi,
It might be that you have a full acess to somebody else's user ID (say, A). And your own ID is 'B'. You log-on using your own ID, submitted the job having user id as 'A' (i.e. the job name is 'A'+any character A-Z). Since you are having all rights, it dint give you any error for submitting job from 'A''s ID and the job got submitted. But when you try to see the spool, by default it'll show you the jobs starting with your own ID, i.e. 'B'+any character A-Z. And hence you dont see the job in job spool.

This is all my inference. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Reg,
Sonali.

Usually, each system has a software to archive the queue sysout. I think that you can find it there.
i.e I know Beta92 and WSF but I'm sure that there are other product.

If notify parameter is not given no notify will appair.
The owner that you see in spool under OWNER is the userid that submit the job or the userid specified in jobcard as USER=xxxx(it's different from NOTIFY parameter)

I hope in this help.

Hi MGIndaco..thanks for the answer...

as u said the jobs are archieved, can u give some more details....

whether the job go directly into the archived region without spool ( as i think to make the job archieved we may need to save that from SPOOL)
