Ok, hope you find a solution.
Maybe it has to do with the EHLLAPI used by Rumba.

Hello,

Suggest you try to highlight & copy something from the 3270 screen and paste it into notepad. What happens?

None of my current sites use Rumba for terminal emulation, but when i did use Rumba, i never had problem using copy/paste. . .

@ dick

yes i tried to copy and paste from that screen and same thing happened.

and i noticed that the thing which gets pasted in notepad is not a garbage value obviously.. It is the value/text which i copied already in my own machine from some other notepad/wordpad/etc..

my sentence formation is not good so please bare with me.. I guess you know what i mean when i say the value/text which has been copied already ( just before i copy contents from emulator ) in my machine..

Hello,

Suggest you work with your desktop support people to determine why the local copy/paste works inconsistently.

hi dick,

i forgot to mention that we are using Citrix server to connect to rumba using a VPN network.. hope this information is helpful.. Can this be a problem in the Citrix end ?

So basically the issue is unable to perform actions like copy/paste between Citrix server and my local machine..

Hello,

That would surely be something for the local support people to diagnose/correct.

Since about 99% of those who use the mainframe connect from a Win-box. . . icon_rolleyes.gif

Have a great weekend!
