Hi
I am trying to do a string search using ISPF Option 3.14.
I enter the word in the field search string and specify the dataset name and hit enter. At the next screen i am getting all the member names in that PDS and i see the message 'Enter END command to process selections or CANCEL to leave the member list. ' just below the command line can anyone help me out what do i need to do.
I tried hitting Enter again and typed END command line still did not get the selections.
I know for a fact that the word i am searching is in only one Member |

Then select that member. Or select only the members that you want to consider. Or select all of the members. |

Or use PF1 and read the tutorial for beginners on how to use 3.14.
the previous screen where you enter the DSN, also has a field for member.
If memory serves me,
to the right of this member field,
are instructions: enter member name, * for all, or blank to display member list. |

Type "S *" on the command line and press ENTER to select all members. Press the PF3 key (or whatever key you have mapped to trhe END command) to process your selections. |
