Is it possible to execute the offline utility for CICS dump file formatting (CICSDFMT) from batch? If yes can anyone guide me on how to do this?

CICSDFMT is for a Txn-Series Platform (IE: CICS/6000 or AIX).

Dump formatting for MVS-z/OS uses the DFHDUxxx program, with xxx representing the CICS Version/Release, such as 650, which is for CICS 0650 (which is actually CICS/TS 3.2).

Please refer to the given CICS Operations and Utilities Guide for your particular Version/Release, where usage and examples are provided.

BTW, DFHDUxxx should only be executed from Batch (never tried it from CICS itself and would not recommend it).

Bill
