give me some differences b/w join & union?otherthan this(row wise o/p & cl wise o/p)

Both are used for different purposes. I think there is no means to compare these two other than what you mentioned.

Join is used to retrieve data from different tables using a single. Union is used to combine the results of two or more queries.
