Hello,
If you copy an Infopac report to a dasd fle, the file can be pulled from the mainframe via ftp on some pc. . .
As Enrico mentioned - we don't do urgent.
If you have something urgent, suggest you hire someone to provide service. . . |

Hello,
None of my systems use Infopac.
I suspect that what you need it in the documentation or available from Infopac Support. . .
FWIW - if you can get a report from Infopac back into the spool, it is easy to get the spooled report into a dasd file. . . |

please do not use <script kiddie>/sms language makes difficult to understand things
the objective of any forum is to help people who start helping themselves
my point and Dick' s was about urgency...
urgency is your problem, not ours
remember always when asking that replying is ...
on voluntary basis
on responder's time ( and usually equipment )
at no charge
benevolence factor, willingness of the TS to do a bit of homework himself
claiming urgency is more than often a symptom of laziness in searching the proper documentation
You should consider also the spread of the tool/product You are using
searching the forums for infopac returned only 8 hits none of which were technical
so the chance of getting help around here is pretty small
part of the homework consists in searching the available resources for more info before posting

And until you begin doing something for yourself, that is as good as it will get for you. . .
Which part of "we don't have much Infopac info here" is not clear?
You have everything you need in your organization/on your system.
If you are unwilling to use resources you have available, there is not much help we can provide.

Hi All. I just noticed that Infopac is one of the steps in a Job on our mainframe. This step ends in MAX RC 12 every run and the support team couldn't catch it because the scheduler suggests that it completed without any issues because there's no abend.
Can anyone please brief as to what this program does? This is not urgent. Also, akatask, if you found out what went wrong then, please do let me know.
Thanks in advance for your response! |

these comments make me wonder about the skills of the support team
the success failure of a JOB is not a whim of the scheduler...
when defining a JOB to the scheduler the administrator defines what should be considered success/failure based on the return codes
ask the support to check the definitions !
PS.
the question asked is completely unrelated to the thread You are tailgating ( around 5 yeas old )
