Regarding the field names in IMS

Hi All,
Can any one give idea about how to find the field names of a IMS segement. For eg. in DB2 if we refer SYSIBM.SYSCOLUMNS we will get the column names of a particluar tables.Similarly can we get the fields from IMS

Look at the DBD. But there is no IMS utility that will do that for you.

Yes, you can look into DBD definition to get the fields. If you have access, you can check in File-Aid/IMS as well.
