Hi All,
Is it possible to stop execution of the first step in the jcl by using the COND parameter (either it's in job level or step level)?

You want to stop preventing the first step?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
But seriously, some adopt the convention of using an empty IEFBR14 first step, so then every step can be controlled by a RC check, rather than COND=EVEN. |

| You can also use the RESTART parameter in the job card to start executing in the second (or later) step. |
