Why would you want to know that?
Did you meet some restrictions? |

Hello,
What problem did you encounter?
You will get much more useful replies if you post what has actually happened and show the diagnostic information generated by the run. . .
We can ask all sorts of questions to try to get some info, but it all works better if you simply post what has happened. . . |

Here's the exact scenario....
For the original requirement, the table-names are variable and are received from a file and the query remains the same.
I thought of using dynamic queries but our DBA didnt approve it.
So, I am writing a program where we build these some queries onto an output file and execute the queries using DSNTEP2 in the next JCL step.
I need to know if there's a limit/restriction to the number of queries that we can put in SYSIN.
Please let me know if there's another possible way of doing this.
-Thanks in advance,
Rakesh. |

Hello,
And still no answer to:

I've stacked more than 1,000 queries in to the same batch run. . .
Depending on the queries you have, the issue may be a time-out or queued output being too large. |

To answer you:
I haven't encountered any problem till now.
I just wanted to know if there are any restrictions so that I can handle it in the program writing these queries.
Thanks a Lot! |
