Hi,

I need to insert a 5 rows in a table in a test region. For which I unloaded the table in production which has that 5 rows and then try to load that in test region which is getting abended S04E.

The Unload file is variable block file. I took the 5 records by using the cut command and put in a separate file which is also a VB and record lenght also the same but still i am facing the problem. But Finally i wrote a insert query to solve this issue.

Plesae let me know is this feasible.

Thanks in advance,
Venkatraman B

IIRC, for every unload/export there is a reload/import utility function...
What did you use to 'unload' the table?

Yes, this is done almost everywhere.

Suggest you work with your dba to determine if you have not used the correct unload/reload processes. . .

Hello,
Hello,

There are a couple of ways to get help when you are stuck. The best way is typically to ask someone senior on the system you are using. Another is via our forum. In order for the forum to be effective, you must post ALL of the detail of the problem run(s).

You have provided almost nothing for someone to use to help you icon_sad.gif

Suggest you read the info available here:

publibz.boulder.ibm.com/cgi-bin/bookmgr_OS390/handheld/Connected/SEARCH?Book=dsnugj10&searchRequest=unload+load&SEARCH=Search&Type=FUZZY&SHELF=&DT=20040209165609&searchTopic=TOPIC&searchText=TEXT&searchIndex=INDEX&rank=RANK

and here:

publibz.boulder.ibm.com/cgi-bin/bookmgr_OS390/handheld/Connected/BOOKS/dsnugj10/APPENDIX1.4.1?ACTION=MATCHES&REQUEST=dsntiaul+load&TYPE=FUZZY&SHELF=&DT=20040209165609&CASE=&searchTopic=TOPIC&searchText=TEXT&searchIndex=INDEX&rank=RANK&ScrollTOP=FIRSTHIT#FIRSTHIT

What you have posted so far is "it didn't work" but have provided no actual info about the unload/load. . .
