Hi,
I want to compare members from two different PDS.
thing is member names are different.
Scenario:
In PDS-1 member name is EF1234
In PDS-2 member name is EZ1234
like this there are list of members.
Using 3.13 or IEBCOMP i will not be able to identify the members so it won't be useful.
only change in the mebers are
in PDS1 we have EF*
in PDS2 we have EZ*
please guide me on this. |

Submit any old compare in batch, and then save and tailor the generated JCL, via SJ in SDSF to enter the details that you require. |

What I would do given the situation is to copy PDS2 to PDS3 renaming the members to the same as PDS1, and then run a compare.
The copy and rename should be fairly quick once you have a list of members of the PDS.
Just as an aside - wh yare the members renamed in PDS2 |

Run SUPERC in batch, then run a tiny REXX on the output (OUTDD) to keep only the "real" changes.

I thought of doing the same thing.
Just wanted to know if there is some utility to accomplish this directly.
Anyways
thanks all for your inputs... |
