Hi,

I want to compare members from two different PDS.
thing is member names are different.

Scenario:

In PDS-1 member name is EF1234
In PDS-2 member name is EZ1234

like this there are list of members.

Using 3.13 or IEBCOMP i will not be able to identify the members so it won't be useful.

only change in the mebers are
in PDS1 we have EF*
in PDS2 we have EZ*

please guide me on this.

Submit any old compare in batch, and then save and tailor the generated JCL, via SJ in SDSF to enter the details that you require.

What I would do given the situation is to copy PDS2 to PDS3 renaming the members to the same as PDS1, and then run a compare.

The copy and rename should be fairly quick once you have a list of members of the PDS.

Just as an aside - wh yare the members renamed in PDS2

Run SUPERC in batch, then run a tiny REXX on the output (OUTDD) to keep only the "real" changes.

O.

I thought of doing the same thing.

Just wanted to know if there is some utility to accomplish this directly.

Anyways

thanks all for your inputs...
