HI,
We got an abend U4083 3 in production. The program is not available in production. Wht we have is only object module. This object module is dynamically link edited along other sub programs and the load module is used. We analysed the sub programs and we came the conclusion that the missing link is with the main program(for which no source code). We suspect the reason is not because of the data as the input file has not been read. Could you please advise us on this issue?
FYI. This is production stop and, we are unable to find the resolution yet.

I would contact the vendor which supplied you with the main program.
Since they did not provide source code, there must be some type of service agreement (either as part of the purchase, or for an annual fee).
There is not much anyone here can do. I do not think the best of crystal balls would work. |

Hello,
Was the previous production run successful or is this some new producton process?
If the previous run(s) were successful, you could correct the input and re-run. . .
If your organization created the code originally, the will need to be rebuilt. If this is code from some vendor, you will need to work with them. |
